I just love love UserTesting.com - favorite thing in my PM toolbox these days

I've started using usertesting.com a while back and I'm doing another round of testing with them these days. Why is this so great?

1. It's super fast. Just think about what you want to test out, write a few lines about the tasks you want the user to do, and you're ready to go.

2. Instant gratification. Someone will pick up your test literally within minutes and 15 minutes later you've got the video of them testing your product in front of you.

3. It's very inexpensive - $29 per test, it doesn't get better than that. Which means you have no excuse to not try every area of your product. Usually 5 testers are going give you the data you want.

Relevance Over Time - this might just be the next wave of internet revolution I hand over a lot of information to the applications that I use every day, but I am getting nothing in return (other than ads that creep me out). Every time I click a ‘like’, or I re-tweet, or I bookmark a page, or I spend time reading a post, that information can be stored somewhere and used to figure out what information is most important to me. I would happily exchange that part of my privacy for the ability to save a few hours each day and the pain of having to personally sort through all this information. The...
