If you're like me, the idea of filling up the lunchbox every morning with something healthy and kid-friendly isn't exactly the most exciting moment of the day. So, to make things a bit more interesting, I extended the traditional plastic lunchbox arsenal with 2 wonderful tools. They're called Thermos and Laptop Lunches.
Today I'll tell you all about Thermos. I'll cover the Laptop Lunches in another post soon.
I buy the small one (Food Jar 2330 to be exact) for my son Thomas in Kindergarten, so he can eat directly from it. If you have a kid in elementary school you know that they have to trade play time for food time, so go with what gets them their food fast! You can buy it from Target or order it online from Thermos website.
It's big enough for a full lunch, keeps the food hot until lunch time, and fits easily in any traditional plastic lunchbox. It's also theoritically lead free and doesn't have any of these potentially toxic plastics.
One tip to keep the food hot longer: rinse the Thermos with hot water before you pour the contents in it.
And of course don't forget to add a spoon or a fork, otherwise it's not quite an enjoyable lunch experience!

I use the Thermos too, and love it!
